Faith

Updated: Feb 11, 2022

Your actions determine what you believe.

Have you ever prayed and felt you'd believed by faith and nothing happened? Yep me too. The Bible says I'm healed so I quote it and quote it until I'm blue in the face. Am I not standing on the Word? I'm a christian, I believe in Jesus and that he bore my sickness and diseases. What's going on then? I believe, I have faith but that mountain isn't moving. Why not?

Simple. You're trying to move the mountain. You're trying to do something. You're...well, trying. Stop trying and just believe.

I do believe.

Where is that mountain? Still there? Then you don't believe.

You're trying to train your carnal mind into 'accepting' the truth and it can not. I'll say it again, it can not accept the truth. It can accept what you view as true or factual. Absolute truth it can not accept. Once you get that you'll be all set. Get what?

The Word is Truth. Period. How hard is it to believe the truth? Pretty hard? Nope. Easy.

Here let me explain...

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding

You get that underlined part? The understanding is the carnal mind. Here is an example...

When you pull a frozen pizza out of the freezer what do you do? You look at the cooking instructions and it says 'Preheat to 350'. You turn on the oven, when it hits 350 the oven chimes you slip in the pizza. It says 18-22 minutes depending on how crispy you want it. You like it crispy so you set it to 22 minutes, close the door and get the plates out. Did you question those instructions? Did you at any point think the manufacture might be telling you lies and you'd better double check? Did you wonder if 350 was correct? Maybe it should have been set to 400? You know why you didn't question it? You believed it by faith.

How do I know that?

James 2:18 But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

That was you getting the plates out. That's was actual faith in action. You didn't question it, you just moved onto the next step in the process which was to get the plates out. You read the box, accepted it as truth and never allowed your carnal mind to 'try to understand'. If your mind would have said, 'Wait, I think the setting should be 450!' You would have told your mind 'Shut up, it says 350 right here on the box!' So if you can accept a mans instructions and believe it by faith on the back of a pizza box why can't you do the same to the Living Word of God?

Don't question it, move on to the next step, in faith.
